Job Description




  • Oversees the general administration and coordination of the public health business

  • Provides technical support in the oversight of Omnifert vector control interventions

  • Advises Management on vector control strategies to guide the company’s programming and planning

  • Provides input in the development and updating of all technical guidance on vector control for the Company

  • Liaises and seeks technical input on vector control strategies from technical experts and organisations within and outside the shores of Ghana.

  • Advises Management on enhancing and improving existing strategies as well as developing new, innovative tools and approaches

  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of issues around the regulation of insecticides for public health use

  • Provides technical guidance and direction to Omnifert’s Vector Monitoring and Control Team on relevant technical issues such as targeting IRS in the presence of bed nets, vector behaviour changes in response to vector control interventions, insecticide resistance management and related issues, and emerging technologies

  • Supports engagement with pesticide industry staff on new vector control products and formulations of insecticides for public health use.

  • Liaises with regulatory bodies such as EPA, PRRSD, etc. to conduct all tests on chemicals and obtain all certifications for public health business.

  • Creates a network of client base for the provision of public health services

  • Monitors for government tenders and general projects on public health and play a lead role in bidding for such contracts.

  • Conducts market survey on the market demand for specific products and efficiency of various public health products.

  • Works with team members and the business development team to promote the growth of the public health business

  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.




Required Skills or Experience




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Environmental Studies, Public Health, General Agriculture or any equivalent

  • Professional Certification in Agrochemicals and Public Health is an added advantage

  • Minimum experience of 5 years in Public Health products

  • Must have worked with an agro-chemical company and/or a public health services providing organisation.
