A leading industrial manufacturer is looking for a qualified candidate for the above role.


 


Reports to: GM, Finance & Administration 


Department:  Administration


Location: Accra, Ghana


 


 


Purpose



  • To maintain and control full spectrum of HR functions and administrative process.

  • Develop, recommend and implement HR practices, processes, policies and strategies that will establish a positive employer-employee relationship. 

  • Handle daily central administrative processes to ensure logistics, shipping and regulatory issues are managed effectively 

  • Develop policies and procedures that will ensure effective employee service management.


Key Deliverables / Tasks




  • Develops and implement HR policies and processes for all company personnel, in accordance to local Labour Law and align with headquarters HR policies; 

  • Review and recommend compensation and performance management process to attract and retain talent; 

  • Partner with Management team and department heads to execute business-specific HR strategies; 

  • Ensure that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported & resolved; 

  • Review organizational structures for effective deployment of resources; 

  • Responsible for the planning of annual manpower budget; 

  • Manage office administration such as oversee the maintenance and operation of office equipment and administer office insurance; 

  • Process work permit applications and visa renewal for expatriates; 

  • Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned. 

  • Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions. 

  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward Company goals.

  • Collect pool of potential candidates and develop policies for succession planning 

  • Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting. 

  • Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, and safety 

  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. 

  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. 

  • Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.

  • Administers benefits programs such as life, health, insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance. 

  • Investigates accidents/incidents and prepares reports for insurance claims

  • Prepares budget of human resources operations. 

  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations. 

  • Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism, lateness and turnover. 

  • Conduct monthly manpower audits and ensure the overall company premises are generally clean and safe.

  • Represent the company at personnel-related hearings and investigations. 

  • Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as temporary employees, search firms, or relocation services.

  • At least 5+ years of HR experience, with 3+ years HR Business partner.

  • Bachelor degree or above

    Bachelor degree or above

  • MBA and HR professional qualification will be an added advantage
