A reputable and rapidly growing organization is seeking the services of a smart, confident, performance oriented and experienced professional to occupy the position of Deposit Manager



 



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Directly in charge of developing and managing the overall deposit business for the Institutions, recommending and implementing policies approved by the senior management for business generation and growth

  • Ensure growth of our digital business in terms of opening of accounts and mobilizing of deposits.

  • Liaises with Finance/treasury team on interest rates management for deposit products (demand & term deposit)

  • Plans and carry out all activities to pursue monthly deposits objectives via accounts opening, accounts/deposits campaigns and customer retention programs through branch managers & deposit coordinators

  • Directly designs, develops and implements all marketing and sales efforts for our target market including other corporate organization and wealthy individuals.

  • Directly works with the Head of Operations to streamline branch sale techniques, and customer service to continually help build trust, relationships with target customers, maintain existing customers and acquire new customers through planned product programs and tactical marketing campaigns 

  • Prepares and analyses daily/weekly performance of deposit team and branches to ensure constant deposit business portfolio growth

  • Prepares and maintains a monthly/quarterly detailed customer database and conducts all necessary market research, competitor and customer analysis report

  • Providing senior management with all information that is requested regarding the performance of the deposit business; targets and actual

  • Initiates and implements sales/promotional activities to actively put the Institutions products and services in the target market to increase market share.



People Management




  • Providing total leadership and technical competency of team members in the areas of Deposit Mobilization.

  • Motivate and support Branch Managers to implement strategies to bridge gaps and meet set targets in Deposit Targets.



Process, Control and Operational Performance




  • Take responsible steps to ensure that relevant business information is accessible to stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance to internal procedures and processes

  • Ensure no or minimized operation risk

  • No audit exceptions

  • All regulatory requirements should be followed




Required Skills or Experience


Career Profession (suggested):




  • Minimum of BSc/BA in Economics, Finance, Marketing, or Business. An MBA in Marketing would also be advantageous



The Deposits Manager requires:




  • Advanced marketing skills, Marketing Analysis, Financial knowledge.

  • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

  • Communications and Media - Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media

  • Knowledge of standard reports required for Deposit Management



Experience Required




  • Experience of 2 to 3 years in individual lending and or banking operations in a bank or MFI. In exceptional cases of high caliber and proven achievements in a management position in an MF organization. Knowledge in Credit is not required but is an added advantage. Knowledge in sales and marketing is greatly required.

  • Background in marketing analysis is ideal.
