Amplio Ghana is the country office of Amplio US and registered with the Registrar General’s Department of Ghana and the Department of Social Welfare as a non-profit/non-governmental organization. Since inception, the organization has worked on several partnerships in the Upper West, Upper East, Northern and Greater Accra regions of Ghana to address poverty, transform lives and contribute towards achieving the MDGs/SDGs. The organization has offices in Wa and Tamale (Wa is the main office). To date, Amplio Ghana has collaborated with partners such as; UNICEF, MEDA, Esoko, AGRA, Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO), World Cocoa Foundation, Winrock, CARE International, PRONet, PRUDA, TUTRIDEP, and Savanna Signatures across several fields/sectors; health, education, climate change, nutrition, agriculture, livelihoods, savings and loans associations, WASH, protection and gender to empower vulnerable populations and groups towards improving their health, income and quality of life. Also, we have partnership with APME.2A and CLINISOLS in Burkina Faso.



Our solution to tackling poverty is the “Amplio Talking Book”, an innovative tool designed based on the believe that accessible knowledge for some of the world’s most vulnerable people can help transform lives. The Amplio Talking Book is an audio device that enables consistent and accurate messaging for people in media dark and hard to reach settings. We are at a pivotal moment in our fourteen-years history. We have an incredible team of hard-working people who have successfully reached about 1 million people with our Talking Book Program.




Job Description


Summary of Position




  • Reporting to: MEAL/Partnership Development Officer

  • Location: Accra/Kumasi/Ho

  • Duration: One (1) year with possibility of renewal based on performance



 



Overall purpose of this role

Amplio Ghana is searching for people with communication and marketing background and knowledge of the NGO/development sector to lead in the marketing of Amplio Talking Books in the following regions (Greater Accra, Ashanti and Volta). This position will require regular engagement with individuals and institutions/organizations to promote the use of Talking Books and the work of Amplio Ghana. Also, as agent, you will be required to secure partnerships with other institutions or organizations.



Responsibilities




  1. Serve as a champion for Talking Books in your region.

  2. Scout and visit potential partners to discuss business possibilities for Talking Books.

  3. Identify opportunities with potential partners for implementation of service delivery programs.

  4. Attend events, forums, workshops involving development partners to promote the Talking Book.

  5. Support Amplio Ghana to setup new programs for all close-won opportunities in your region.

  6. Ensure the effective use of marketing materials in your business engagements.

  7. Schedule and facilitate Amplio BD team meetings with potential partners in your region.

  8. Prepare and submit weekly engagement plans to your supervisor.

  9. Submit weekly reports on your engagements with potential partners to your supervisor.

  10. Perform any other responsibility assigned by your supervisor.




Required Skills or Experience


Person specification




  • Minimum of Diploma in marketing, communication, business development or any relevant field.

  • Knowledge and experience of the NGO/development sector in Ghana

  • Passion for digital solutions especially the Talking Book

  • Ability to engage at all levels (field and strategic levels)

  • Ability to network and explore relationships

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Fluent in English language (spoken and written)
