Vacancy: Electrical/Instrumentation Technician

Job Description

• Adhere to preventive maintenance


• Calibration of plant instruments


•  participating in independent maintenance related training activities organized by the field operations teams and coordinating shutdowns to ensure that failure rates and downtime are significantly reduced to minimize cost


• performs process improvements, providing support and enhancement to the company’s health, safety, and environmental system that conforms to the required legal and standard requirements


• The electrical technician, working directly with the manufacturing operations team participates actively in daily maintenance meetings and assists in ensuring specified continuous improvement in the company’s equipment and operations.


• Inspect and supervise work done by external vendors.


• Prepare reports, maintain records, and requisition supplies and parts


• Ensure longer life of obsolete equipment and save funds by carrying out detailed troubleshooting down to component levels


• Carry out maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, automation, and instrumentation of equipment applied by industrial motor controls, pump drives, and the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system


• Reads and interprets electrical drawings, mechanical drawings to aid in repair works

Required Skills or Experience

Qualification required:

• EET3 with five years working experience in the field or HND with two years working experience in the field.


• Applicants should have good knowledge in the interpretation of drawings and trouble shooting
